Mexico pictures

We Are Back.....

Unfortunately, my digital camera has been out of service for the last several months and I have finally gotten a new one! Cameron couldn't wait for me to get the Mexico Spring Break pictures loaded for everyone to see! We were down in the Riveira Maya at the Occidental Resort! It was a VERY relaxing vacation and we had a wonderful time. We are already talking about when we can go back!

The weather was wonderful! We had 80+ degree weather with sun everyday! It really allowed you to feel like you were away from it all! We did have to leave Riverton a little sooner then planned in order to avoid yet another "spring in Wyoming" blizzard. We came home to green grass and moist lawns, however and that makes it all worth it!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMERON!

What an exciting weekend we've had! We have been celebrating Cameron's Golden Birthday (7 on the 7th!). On the night of his birthday we had a family celebration with Grandma and Grandpa B and Grandma and Grandpa S! Cameron also had his best buddy Michael over! On Sunday, Cameron had his friend party! He invited 8 little boys over for football, pizza and a pinata! In lieu of presents, Cameron asked all of his guests to bring a bag of dog or cat food to donate to the animal shelter! He had remembered another friend doing this a couple of years ago and since one of our cats came from the animal shelter, Cameron thought this would be a nice thing to do! I'm so proud of him for starting to learn how good it feels to be able to give, rather than just receive! What a wonderful little boy he is! Happy Birthday son! We love you!!

October Snow

What a week we've had. We had a wild snow storm last Friday and Saturday (October 9-11) which dumped about 8 inches of snow in Riverton . Lander received about 2 feet of snow! It was really messy because the leaves hadn't really started dropping so we had snow and then Monday morning, the leaves began falling! We managed to get out today and rake and I've attached some pictures of Cameron playing in the leaves!
We had a great trip to Ft. Collins and Denver last weekend. We didn't get any pictures of the kids like I promised! They are growing up so quickly! Madison will be 13 next week, Andrew is 11 and Devin will be 18 in November! Devin will graduate from Arvada West in May. Maddie is in her first year of Junior High and Drew is in his last year of elementary. Drew seems to have found a great place for himself on the baseball field and Maddie continues to enjoy soccer. Although Devin no longer plays for AWest he stays busy with school work and with his job. He is thinking about colleges but as of yet, is undecided where he will go. Adam and Steph are also doing great. Adam is getting ready for the Red Bull Soap Box Derby at Red Rocks next Saturday, October 25th. I put a link to the website for everyone to check out! Scott's been hanging out at the casino lately and his luck has been very good! It makes it hard to limit yourself when you're winning, but he's being strongly encouraged to slow down a little or people may think he's got a problem, HA! HA! Until next week......
Our love to all,
Nicole

Off and Running

I'm always up for a road trip, especially when it's to see family! I'm excited about our trip this week to Colorado and then our return trip via Laramie for the UW Homecoming game against, ugh...Utah!! May the force be with us....

I'll be sure to take pictures of Adam, Steph and Lola to add to the blog as well as Devin, Drew and Maddie! We're especially excited to see the kids since we haven't seen them since New Years. Devin will be 18 in November and Maddie with be 13 later this month. Cameron just loves seeing his cousins! I love hearing him talk to them; he says things that he never says to Scott and I.

Scott's got an appointment with a Corneal Specialist in Ft. Collins on Friday morning and we are hoping that he will tell us something about the condition of Scott's corneas and what we may need to consider as possible treatment options. I'll keep everyone posted! The week has flown by so quickly, it's hard to believe we're already headed towards another weekend. The forecast for most of Wyoming is cold weather with the possibility of maybe a snow shower or two. I told Cameron today that it was definitely fall and he told me that we could also call it "autumn". He told me that his teacher, Mrs. Judd told him that. He also said that teachers have to be very smart people because they know a lot of stuff!! Touche....my son!!

Here's to a wonderful, safe autumn weekend for all! Thanks for reading this! GO POKES!!

Cameron's favorite sport!

Cameron has been eager to get some football footage on this blog. I haven't been able to get the video from his game on Thursday night to cooperate, so I just went outside and took some video with my camera of the boys throwing and kicking the ball around. Cameron prefers kicking the ball; he's quite a punter. He's crazy about football, but never fear, when basketball season rolls around, he'll be crazy about basketball too! He is his father's son after all!

I could really get used to this!

I think that I'm going to like blogging. I find myself thinking about what I might write about, and what pictures I could add to make things more exciting for our blog followers! I did run out today and got a picture of my fall blooming clematis. It gets more and more beautiful every year and I wanted to get a picture of it before the wind blows all of the petals off of the flowers. We've had a dreary day here; it puts us all in the mood for sweaters, lap blankets and tea! Every year I feel a little more confident that I can be the gardener that this house deserves. Scott helps me gain control of those "English Gardens" that were fast becoming the thorn in my side...(and no, it wasn't from the shrub roses HA! HA!).
